Highly recommend you get into Goose Island Bourbon County this winter.
It’s a rich stout with a burnt-caramel finish (not bitter at the end, I promise) that’s aged in bourbon barrels for a year and is perfect for sipping by a fire. (Don’t chug it, seriously, you will choke on the bourbon notes.) You can also age it in the bottle for up to 5 years to develop the flavors even more.
It opens up and is much smoother when it’s closer to room temp, so don’t chill it too much before drinking. (I tested this out myself.)
